If your under the impression that a magic pill is going to bring you the results you desire, your wrong. You know, there is a magic secret to burning fat, it's called exercise and a healthy diet. I know, I know, it's not what you wanted to hear. Nobody wants to hear about exercise and diet, most would rather jump off a cliff. C'mon, it is a lot easier than you may have realized before.
I am not telling you to exercise for an hour on the elliptical machine. On the contrary, your body will begin to burn it's fat stores after 16 minutes, give or take a minute or two. In most cases it relies on the individual. The first 15 minutes or so your body is burning it's store of carbohydrates. Make sure to exercise for at least 25 minutes to make sure you burn some of that unwanted fat.
A side not here, you don't want to lose muscle. Why? You see, muscle burns more calories. When you lose that muscle you lessen your fat burning machine. You ideally want to gain muscle to aid in the burning of fat. For this reason you need to stay away from crash dieting. This type of dieting will deplete the muscle in your body leading to an ineffective fat burning machine.
One last thing, if you notice that your weight is not dropping as fast as you would like, don't get discouraged. What you may not know is that this is entirely normal. If your following a pure weight loss regimen involving eating right and exercise to build a little muscle, your body will be exchanging muscle for fat in the early stages. Try to stay positive, you may even notice that your pants fit better even though you haven't lost any weight.
Another thing you need to consider it to try other things than just aerobic activity. It is a good idea to work a little weight training into the picture also. Weight lifting will boost your metabolism if it begins to level off. Always keep in mind that muscle burns fat.
